Assistant Software Developer

£27,000 - £28,500 per annum + Good Benefits (Permanent)

Coulsdon, Surrey

Conrad Finance are pleased to be working with a leading company based on the outskirts of Coulsdon. Due to their continued growth they have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Software Developer to join their established development team.

This is an excellent opportunity that's covers all aspects of software development and will assist in a wide variety of work across the company. The successful candidate will either be a recent graduate or similar, have previous experience gained from a similar position and have good communication skills.

Duties
·Code and test modules of applications as directed to meet the requirements of the specification, using company standards in terms of coding methods and ensuring that the developed application fully integrates with other systems and modules.
·Revise applications as directed in order to accommodate new requirements or to reflect new organisational structures
·Diagnose and rectify programming faults as directed by the Development Manager
·Keep the development team fully informed of progress on assigned tasks
·Provide appropriate training and documentation for users of new and/or changed procedures
·Liaise with other members of the development team to ensure that the implementation of all changes to applications are carried out in such a way as to minimise risk to the business.
·Support the IT team as required from time to time to ensure that the IT department gives the best possible service and support to all business users
·Maintain an understanding of current programming techniques and software tools
·Undertake any other tasks requested by the Development Manager

The successful candidate will have experience with:
·Experience with an object orientated programming language, preferably C#
·Experience with developing web-based applications, preferably using ASP.NET
·Appreciation of good software architecture, core programming techniques and data structures
·Experience with HTML, CSS and Javascript
·Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio (2012 upwards)
